Team Lead

The Operations Team Lead is responsible for helping guide the team and oversee the functionality of the workgroup.  As an extension of the Supervisor, the Team Lead responsibilities include decision-making, coaching, mentoring, developing the team’s skills and helping to manage conflict resolution.  They will facilitate positive, thoughtful, and effective communication and help foster an inspiring team environment.   The Team Lead will be responsible for onboarding and training team members, setting daily strategy and monitoring progress towards daily operational goals. 

 Position Objectives & Primary Responsibilities

•              Provides work assignments and subsequent support follow up to ensure correctness and timeliness of administered work requests

•              Leads safety, quality and productivity initiatives across all areas of the operation

•              Works cross functionally to solve operational problems

•              Assists in production, manufacturing, shipping and or receiving duties as needed

•              Acts as backup to Operations Supervisor during absences

•              Delivers training and mentoring to new team members as well as continued education and guidance to tenured associates

•              Monitors and reports on progress of daily work activities across respective area of operation to ensure KPIs are met safely and accurately

•              Communicates effectively with both internal and external stakeholders

•              Relationship builder with proven ability to collaborate with others to build strong working partnerships

•              Strong public speaking, interpersonal communication, and negotiation skills

•              Solid working knowledge of X3/Sage or related systems and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing, filling, shipping and or receiving processes

•              Willingness to learn and work across multiple areas of the operation
