Accounting Operations Analyst

Are you an accounting professional who enjoys digging into the details, solving complex problems, and making processes better? We’re looking for an Accounting Operations Analyst to play a key role in strengthening our financial operations, supporting month-end close, and ensuring the integrity of our Accounts Receivable and customer data.
This isn’t just a transactional role—you’ll be a trusted partner across teams, helping drive accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
What the role entails? Position Objectives and Primary Responsibilities:
Month-End Close
- Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including A/R, deferred revenue, unapplied cash, and customer credits.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals, reclasses, and cutoff support.
- Investigate reconciling items and partner with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Support audit requests related to A/R balances, customer accounts, and close documentation.
Accounts Receivable Controls
- Perform A/R Aging analysis, identifying trends, risks, and anomalies.
- Support allowance for doubtful accounts analysis and documentation.
- Review and resolve complex billing disputes and credit memo activity.
- Assist with revenue cutoff and accuracy.
- Analyze unapplied cash and unusual payment behaviors.
Customer Master Data Management
- Maintain Customer Master Records, including:
- Credit terms and limits.
- Taxability and exemption status
- Billing and remittance detail
- Customer hierarchies and ownership relationships
- Customer contact records
- Enforce internal controls related to customer setup, credit approvals, and A/R adjustments.
- Support ERP data integrity related to customer and A/R transactions.
- Demonstrate awareness and competence related to both the Environmental Management System (EMS) and the Quality Management System (QMS) including but not limited to policies, objectives, and compliance obligations related to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) system.
Position-Specific Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably with month-end close exposure
- Strong understanding of A/R accounting concepts and balance sheet reconciliation
- Proficiency with accounting ERP systems with advanced Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communication with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Pro-active problem-solving ability and a continuous improvement mindset.
